Preserving Iowa’s Families, Farms and Businesses:

Helping you Develop a Strategy for Business Succession and Estate Preservation

Successfully transferring a family business – whether it’s on the farm or on Main Street – doesn’t just happen. It takes careful planning and teamwork. It not only requires teamwork between you, your family and employees, but also between you and your financial, tax and legal representatives. Your representatives each have a role in helping you create a sound transition strategy for your farm or hometown business.

To help you determine if additional planning may be required for transferring your farm, business and/or estate, the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation has created a short survey about the steps you have already taken.

The survey is a series of brief questions regarding your preparedness for transferring your farm or business, as well as the depth of your estate planning. The information you provide will remain confidential, but will be used to provide you with more information about assistance available as you consider further business transition strategies.
